Bonjour chers concitoyens et concitoyennes,

Comme vous le savez, j’ai le privilège d’avoir été élue par acclamation dans le cadre des élections municipales 2025.  J’aurai donc le plaisir, et aussi la responsabilité, de servir les citoyens, toujours en respectant mes valeurs et mon intégrité. Le village, comme le monde, est en constante évolution et, durant son mandat, la dernière gouvernance a mis de l’avant plusieurs nouveaux projets excitants.  Le changement fait toujours peur. Toutefois nous ne pouvons pas nous permettre de demeurer inactifs.  C’est avec un grand discernement et beaucoup de prudence que nous prenons ces décisions afin d’enrichir notre qualité de vie villageoise.

Le bruit de fond des dernières semaines a été particulièrement intense et a certainement créé son lot d’incompréhension, d’inconfort, de doute, en plus de raviver de vieilles rancunes. En votant, nous nous apprêtons à poser le geste qui propulsera le village dans les prochaines quatre années.  

Notre vote a une portée significative.  En toute humilité, je vous invite donc à prendre un certain recul et à prendre le temps de bien peser les éléments qui motivent vos décisions. Je connais et respecte ceux qui ont siégé avec moi et je leur fais confiance.

Nous avons tous le même objectif :  protéger notre bijou de village tout en lui permettant de grandir dans le respect de sa beauté naturelle et du bien-être des villageois.

Dear fellow citizens,

As you know, I have the privilege of having been elected by acclamation in the 2025 municipal elections. As such, I will have the pleasure, and also the responsibility, of serving the citizens of North Hatley, and I will continue to do so respecting my values and my integrity.  

The village is, as is the world, constantly evolving, and during its mandate, the outgoing council put forward several new exciting projects.  Change always frightens. However, we cannot afford to remain inactive. It is with great discernment and a lot of caution that we, as a council, take these decisions, in order to enrich the quality of our village life.

The background noise of the last few weeks has been particularly intense and has certainly created its share of misunderstanding, discomfort and doubt, in addition to rekindling old grudges. When we vote, we will be taking an important step, one that will propel the village forward for the next four years.

Our vote will have a significant impact. In all humility, I therefore invite you to take a step back and take the time to carefully consider the factors that motivate your decisions.  I know and respect those that sat on Council with me and have faith in them. We all share the same goal: to protect our jewel of a village, allowing it to grow while respecting its natural beauty and the well-being of the villagers.
