Un peu plus tôt aujourd’hui, je passais devant le Curling Club et cela a ravivé ma mémoire.
Je me souviens que lorsque j’étais conseiller, nous avions reçu une demande d’aide financière du club. Certains conseillers argumentaient que le club était à North Hatley, se fiant au panneau de signalisation indiquant « Canton de Hatley », qui était placé après l’emplacement du Curling Club.
D’autres disaient qu’il était dans le Canton.
Ces derniers avaient raison, puisqu’on a découvert en regardant les lots que ce panneau de signalisation devait être placé au début du terrain du Curling Club et non après.
Puisque vous dites que vous demeurez devant le Curling Club, serait-il possible que votre demeure soit dans le Canton ?

Earlier today, as I was walking past the Curling Club, it brought back some memories.
I remember that when I served as a councillor, the Club had requested some financial assistance. Some councillors argued that the Club was part of North Hatley, based on the road sign reading “Canton de Hatley,” which was placed after the Curling Club property.
Others maintained that it was actually in the Township.
They turned out to be right, since we discovered—after checking the property lots—that the sign should have been placed at the beginning of the Curling Club’s grounds, not beyond them.
Since you mentioned that you live across from the Curling Club, could it be that your home is in the Township rather than the Village?
