Monsieur le maire,
Je vous écris au nom d’Action North Hatley.
L’édition datée du mois d’août 2015 des “Nouvelles du Conseil” déforme sérieusement la position d’Action North Hatley, et demande de votre part une rectification.
La réponse à la question 4 contient l’affirmation que “Action North Hatley a pris position publiquement contre tout projet dans la zone inondable.” Cette affirmation est fausse et fallacieuse; elle endommage la réputation d’Action North Hatley et de ses membres. La brochure initiale produite par Action North Hatley, au mois de mai 2014, et reproduite sur son site web, est claire quant à la position de notre regroupement: “Nous sommes favorables à l’aménagement de nouvelles habitations au cœur du village qui seront bénéfiques à l’ensemble de la population. Cependant nous croyons fortement que le type de logements et l’ampleur du projet devraient faire l’objet d’une réflexion sérieuse et devraient recevoir l’approbation de la majorité des habitants.” Cela a toujours été la position d’Action North Hatley, depuis sa fondation.
Nous demandons que vous vous excusiez d’avoir fourni cette information fallacieuse et que vous la corrigiez, sans tarder, en faisant circuler la correction et les excuses de manière à atteindre tous ceux qui ont reçu l’édition du mois d’août 2015 des “Nouvelles du Conseil.”

Mr. Mayor,
I am writing to you on behalf of Action North Hatley.
The August 2015 edition of “News from Council” contains a serious misrepresentation of the position of Action North Hatley, and requires correction on your part.
The answer to Question 4 makes the claim that “Action North Hatley has taken a public position against any project taking place within the flood zone.” This is false and misleading, and harmful to the reputation of Action North Hatley and its members. The initial flyer distributed by Action North Hatley, in May 2014, and reproduced on its website, clearly states the following: “While we totally agree that additional living space in the heart of the village would be of benefit to all, we feel strongly that the type of units and the scale of the project need to be the subject of careful reflection and should meet the approval of a major part of the community.” This has been the position of Action North Hatley from the very beginning and continues to be its position.
We ask that steps be taken to correct and apologize for the misleading information you have provided, in a timely fashion, and that the correction and apology be circulated in a manner likely to reach all those who received the original August 2015 edition of “News from Council.”
