The behavior of THE TOWN COUNCIL,and MAYOR PAGE,is at the very least ,shameful ,if not dishonest , and for what gain ? My ancestors came to North Hatley in the late 1800s ,along with other Americans ,primarily from the southern United States .Thus began the American summer tradition of LOVE ,and FRIENDSHIPS that were formed ,and have been at the core of our family for seven generations . We are ALL part of a welcoming ,and caring community. The position of exclusion to the residents of North Hatley supported by The Council and Mayor , barring them from what they have helped to create ,and enjoyed for 50 years ,has no. basis in fairness, integrity, and certainly not in LOVE for one’s fellow man . Where is the North Hatley that opened its arms to Americans many years ago ,and encouraged them to build homes ,and bring their families .
The fabric of TOGETHERNESS in this Village is becoming unravelled ; It must be repaired before it is completely torn apart .North Hatley is not only beautiful to the eye ;It has to reflect the beauty within …..or it may not survive ,. The present situation as represented by The Town Council and Mayor is heartbreaking .CONSIDER WHAT IS AT STAKE ….

Now, that’s a plea from the heart! We can only hope that our Town Council and Mayor will begin to consider it their responsibility to actually listen to the concerns of the population they were elected to represent. Thank you, Carrington.
