As a public service, FANHCA invites the citizens of North Hatley to consult the Quebec Ministry of Public Security’s web page (see link) regarding flooding in risk areas. There is a lot of relevant information about what is to be done before, during and after a flood. Better to be informed before such an event.

As debate regarding flood risk vs. development in North Hatley arrives as predictably as spring itself, I am sharing this story from CBC yesterday. Perhaps the forward-thinking Mayor Normand Marnacci should be invited to North Hatley as another wise voice to bear on the folly of the current proposed project in North Hatley’s own flood zone.
