Roadwork started last week on chemin du lac/Lake Road in North Hatley.  The big dilemma for the Canton de Hatley was that chemin du lac would be closed to both cars and pedestrians while the work was being carried out. As a result, residents living on Highland Rd. would not have access to their homes.  The solution: a temporary access road from chemin Massawippi through the golf course down to the circle at the top of chemin Highland. Below are some photos of the roadwork and the access via the golf course…….Would this be a brilliant fulltime solution which would permit walkers to cross the golf course during the off season?

Les travaux routiers ont commencé la semaine dernière sur le chemin du lac à North Hatley.  Le grand dilemme pour le Canton de Hatley était que chemin du lac serait fermé aux piétons et aux voitures pendant la durée des travaux. Par conséquent, les résidents vivant sur chemin Highland n’auraient pas accès à leurs maisons.  La solution : une route d’accès temporaire à travers le terrain de golf jusqu’au cercle situé en haut du chemin Highland. Ci-dessous, quelques photos des travaux et de l’accès par le terrain de golf…….Serait-ce une excellente solution permanente qui permettrait aux promeneurs de traverser le terrain de golf pendant la saison morte ?
