Présentée en première nord-américaine au Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, cette exposition au succès international est produite par le British Museum. Elle propose une reconstitution de la vie de six personnes ayant vécu le long du Nil, dans une approche innovante à la croisée des arts et de la science. Accompagnés d’imageries numériques et de plus de 200 objets de l’Égypte ancienne, ces faces à face dévoilent le portrait de l’identité de ces personnes dans le plus grand respect. Âge, croyances ou historique médical, chaque momie à son histoire à raconter.

Making its North American première at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, this internationally acclaimed exhibition produced by the British Museum reconstructs the lives of six people who lived along the Nile, using an innovative approach that combines art and science. Accompanied by digital visualizations and more than 200 objects from ancient Egypt, these encounters offer a portrait of who these individuals were, presented with the utmost respect. Age, beliefs and the diseases they suffered from : each mummy has a story to tell.
