Le site regorge d’informations pertinentes sur ce qu’il y a à faire avant, pendant et après de tels événements. Mieux vaut être informé avant d’avoir déjà les deux pieds dans l’eau.

There is a lot of relevant information about what is to be done before, during and after a flood. Better to be informed before such an event.

As debate regarding flood risk vs. development in North Hatley arrives as predictably as spring itself, I am sharing this story from CBC yesterday.  Perhaps the forward-thinking Mayor Normand Marnacci should be invited to North Hatley as another wise voice to bear on the folly of the current proposed project in North Hatley’s own flood zone.

La Municipalité du Village de North Hatley tiendra sa troisième rencontre
“Café-Causerie” pour aînés
 
le mardi 26 mars 2019,
à 13 h 30, au centre communautaire de North Hatley
(3127, chemin Capelton, North Hatley).

Pour cette occasion, M. Steeve Côté, sergent de la S.Q. et Mme Danielle Maynard  feront une présentation bilingue sur Comment se protéger contre la fraude.

Du café, thé et des bouchées seront servis.

L’entrée à cet évènement est gratuite et un transport est disponible pour les résidents à proximité qui en ont besoin en contactant la Municipalité au 819 842-2754.

The Municipality of the Village of North Hatley will be presenting its third afternoon “Tea and Talk” for seniors on

Tuesday March 26th, 2019
at 1:30 pm at the North Hatley Community Centre
(3127 Capelton Road, North Hatley). 

On this occasion, S.Q. Sergeant Steeve Côté and Mrs. Danielle Maynard will be presenting a bilingual session on How to protect yourself against fraud.

Coffee, tea and refreshments will be served. 

Admission is free and transport is available for area residents by contacting the municipality at 819 842-2754.
